TBS response: NEUTRAL

Recommendation submitted 24-11-18

This ghastly roof extension fortunately cannot be seen from the road, so whilst it's out of character we remain neutral.

Public Comments

The Bishopston Society

We consider that this application is overdevelopment and out of character with adjacentproperties. The rear elevation has inappropriate glazing including a large window on the top floorto bed 4 overlooking neighbouring properties. The only saving grace of this proposal is that it islargely unseen from the Berkeley .Road frontage.

Mrs Rebecca Bushnell 111 BERKELEY ROAD BISHOPSTON BRISTOL

The foul water pipe at the rear of the property servicing 111 Berkeley Road is slightlymis-drawn in 1801/01. It sits entirely within the width of the wall of the rear extension to 111Berkeley Road, as shown in drawing 1801/04.

For the extension to 109 Berkeley Road to be built as drawn, the foul water pipe would need to bemoved east along the rear wall of 111 Berkeley Road. This has the potential to obstruct the rearwindows of 111 and would require ground work to connect to sewerage services as this too iscurrently within the width of the adjoining wall.
