We cannot support an application for yet another boxy roof dormer extension in thearea, particularly when the dormer is visible from the street. In this case, we appreciate that theproposed design has tile hung cladding to blend it into the existing roof finish and the proposedwindows to the rear elevation match the existing windows below. However, we are concernedabout the ugly triangular window to the en-suite facing the street, the ungainly/unsightly raisedparty wall parapet required at the rear (where the neighbours has not been shown so as not todraw attention to the impact) and the clumsy deep fascia proposed to the dormer which creates anunnecessarily crude appearance.
